The Day of the Procedure

Safety comes first.

It is important that you are aware that we will be with you or your child through the entire process. We have all necessary monitoring equipment as well as all the emergency medications and equipment.

Most of all we have the experience and expertise.

Pediatric Patients

For a child to receive anesthesia at the office they must be at least 18 month of age and 25 Ibs.

Most cases will be done under general anesthesia or fully sleep. Before we start the procedure we will go through the process and answer any questions that you may have.

You may email us ahead of time with any questions as well.

Adult Patients

Depending on the procedure and on your medical history we may elect to do either IV sedation or general anesthesia. Both are equal in safety and satisfaction to patients.

IV sedation or twilight anesthesia is a lighter form of anesthesia. We may decide on this type if the procedure is very simple or shorter in duration.

General anesthesia is when you are completely sleep. This is reserved for more complex or longer procedures.

Recovery and After

After the anesthesia we will monitor you or your child until deemed medically cleared by the anesthesiologist to go home.

We will be available by phone in the time after you leave the dental office.
